About Phillip Matador
Phillip Matador (PM) creates unique content and products that foster internal growth that leads to external action. Phillip is the founder’s middle name and Matador is the name of the street that he was raised on. Phillip Matador represents the journey of breaking free from the limitations of our past selves, while at the same time not forgetting where we’ve come from. It is meant to reflect each individual’s journey towards freedom and to embody the essence of being reborn again.
What’s PM’s Why?
There is always a question as to why we do the things that we do. Why is the question of all questions because it taps into the reason behind our efforts and how we spend our time on this planet.
Do we do the things that we do for the sole purpose of making money? Are we simply doing it to provide for our families or are we doing it because there is a calling within us that makes us feel alive?
At PM we have 6 core tenets that provide the framework for our creative work.
Our why at PM is pretty simple. The content that is produced comes from a genuine desire to push the culture in a more conscious direction and to help others on their journey. We want to inspire others to evolve into the best version of themselves and to walk in their purpose.
It is our belief that as we each work to improve ourselves and come in touch with our reason for living, we will be more fulfilled and will be able to come together to develop a society that we can be proud of. We hope to push our society to a higher level of conscious that supports unity among us all.
About Kevin Gibson
Kevin Gibson was born and raised in Columbia, Maryland, and is a graduate of Cornell University and Georgetown University Law Center. He is the founder and content creator behind Phillip Matador.
Kevin’s love for words and empowering others is evident throughout his work. This was first expressed in 2011 in his release of the digital magazine “Free Ya Mind”, and subsequently in 2018 in the release of his debut novel “One of Many”. Kevin is committed to using his talents to inspire and help others on their journey and believes that words when crafted correctly are sparks that can ignite fires within us all.
When Kevin is not writing creatively, he uses his legal expertise to help others draft contracts and form companies in an effort to promote freedom and self-sufficiency through entrepreneurship. He can also be found tending to the veggies at One Rock Farm. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys traveling, meditation/yoga, going for bike rides, reading a good book, and exploring the outdoors. He is a strong proponent of diversity and a strong believer that what ought to be can be.
