PM Initiatives

Here at PM we don’t just like to bark about it, we like to be about it. Below are the current initiatives that we hope will spur action within and outside of our community. If you have any ideas as to how we can use our content to facilitate action and further serve our community, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The Greenback Road – Ten percent (10%) of all profits from the first year of sales of The Greenback Road will be donated to one or more individuals for start-up costs in connection with the formation of a new business.

40 Acres – The poem entitled “40 Acres and a Mule” is included in PM’s latest book, The Greenback Road, and uses the alcoholic drink which is known by many as a Mule (Moscow Mule, Kentucky Mule, etc.) as a means to shed light on the 40 Acres and a Mule that black folks have been promised. The poem is accompanied by a drink recipe referred to as the “40 Acres” that we hope will be served in bars and restaurants across the world. If you are a commercial establishment that would like to use the poem and/or the drink recipe, we offer it to you free of charge and ask that you make an annual donation to our start-up fund for farmers from minority/underserved communities. Participating bars and restaurants will be recognized by name on our website.

Partnership with One Rock Farm – PM has partnered with One Rock Farm to grow food on 2.5 acres of land in Clarksville, Maryland. This partnership was inspired by the writing “Money Grows on Trees” which is included in PM’s latest book, The Greenback Road. The partnership is in line with PM’s core tenet of Sustainability/Conscious Living. It highlights the importance of sourcing quality food locally and being conscious of the food that we put into our bodies.

Produce from One Rock Farm can be purchased at the following locations:
